This paper takes ZheJiang Special Electric Motor Co.Ltd as an example, it studies how to improve the production line, using value stream mapping techniques and lean manufacturing methods. It finds out the bottleneck problem and distinguishes the value-added and non-value-added links according to the status of the production line, then eliminates these waste links. Based on the practice, we prove the feasibility and advantage of value stream management on achieving lean manufacture, through a series of measures, it makes the line arrangement is more reasonable and reduces much handling time and latency time, finally it improves the whole production efficiency.
